While the menu was compact, it was a treasure trove of unique concoctions. The bar exuded a charmingly unpretentious ambiance, albeit slightly marred by smudged and weathered menus, giving it an endearing, rustic feel. Exploring this space was a delightfully curious experience for us. However, the service, although possibly attributed to the opening phase, felt a tad neglectful and somewhat distant. Nonetheless, the allure of the place and the captivating flavors of the beverages made our visit intriguing and worthwhile.
New favorite spot in LES. Delicious and inventive soju-based cocktails (the lotus breeze is a favorite!) in a gorgeous space, including an amazing heated outdoor area. Amazing owner, friendly staff, and an elevated but fun/unpretentious vibe.
incredible cocktails. great atmosphere. the service was... curt, and distant, but almost in a good way, like someone playing hard to get. it seemed like everyone there was already great friends with each other, smoking and playing games and laughing. including the coworkers. but it felt like a group you want to be part of. between the phenomenal drinks and the unique vibe, this may be the best bar in the city
Stunning creative and delicious cocktails keep me coming back to Reception Bar on a night out! Love the lively ambiance here, great for a night out with friends or a date!
Highly recommend this bar. I have been three times, so far. Exceptional mixing and creativity. One of a kind balance of warm atmosphere and style. The staff were genuine and welcoming. It's obvious they care about what they do. I had the Smokes and Incheon cocktails, which were perfect, as well as delicious pork mandu.
They kept me going during quarantine days. I would come by on my walks and order their Asian version of a mulled wine to sip on in the cold, then chat a bit with the staff and get some human interaction. They had dog food on hand to feed the neighborhood dogs and I got to join in. I need them to bring back the mulled wine. It's so good and I've been checking every winter to see if they have it!
Caught some vibes here, highly recommended! Keep in mind all the drinks are soju based for the most part. They also have house-infused flavored soju with like 8 different flavors.
super cozy bar with creative and well made cocktails featuring korean ingredients. corn husk soju is delicious. they also have scarrs pizzas garlic knots here, which are kind of average, but the white radish kimchi theyre served with makes them so much better
